Hi guys, pretty new to this and not up to your standards but just wanted to show 1 I am working on, a restoration of a battered race car.

Any tips on finishing would be appreciated, eg, who thinks it needs a wing?? Or should I leave it like so many around these days?? Which wheels manufacturer would you recommend for big 'uns??

Richie

PS. Hoping that a pollish will bring a little more of the blue through.

WELCOME to AF!!!!

IMO i think you should leave it "spoilerless" :D :D!!!

and what blue??!?! are you talking about?!?

can you post a bigger picture of your avatar, i wouldn't mind seeing your real life supra!

That color looks good, I can see a hint of blue in it. The kit wheels look good, just paint the centers a different color perhaps. Other wheel options are usually better tried in person, I haven't spent much time matching rims to this particular kit. It looks decent wingless, it certainly doesn't need a huge wing. Maybe some kind of lip spoiler?

And who here DOESN'T have the Sard Supra?! Coolest Supra model on the planet...and probably has been built three times as the official replica race car. I don't think I've ever seen it built any way but as a tuner...and it's a very popular model, I've seen lots of them built.

Not at the moment. Only just started cutting it up. Again, it was a built kit that was in a bad way, so I thought I'd have a go at giving it a one piece flip front and see if I could modify an r32 engine etc to go in the front. Will put some pics on if it works out(once I,ve got these damn decals off!).

At last, my first kit in ions is nearly finished.

Needs a few touch ups and my greasy finger prints wiping off and hopefully it'll be done.

Hope it's OK (gave up on that silver/blue thing!!)

Thanks Thug_9_6.

No, the fart can's a piece of aluminium tubing from my local store.

The pics were taken at night with a flash, maybe I'll try for some outdoor shots now the snow is clearing a little.

Would love that!!

Problem here is that there is snow for about 5 months so rwd sports are a bit difficult.

Maybe go for scooby wrx if I can find a decent priced one over here (Norway cars the most expensive in europe).

Otherwise wait until I can afford something like RX7 for the summer (may be some time though!!!).

Get one imported. From what I know, getting them imported from Japan is a lot cheaper. The only problem is, you can't see the car until about a week after you have bought it.

That's where I bought the Supra, cost around 50% UK price.

Trouble is the import tax over here is a about 65%ish and Jap are RHD, Norge left.

As an example, I sold my 96 for approx 10,000 in UK, over here, a 1986 old shape will cost you around 15,000!!!!!!!!!!

Well, just keep your eyes open, eventually you will find something.

anything would be better than a car with a 1.4 litre engine (that is what you are driving now, isn't it?)

Yeah, the missuses opel corsa, what a drag!!!!

That cheeky sod said the supra was 'impractical' and 'too small' (we got 2 kids) but says she wants an audi tt cab?????????????????

Anyway, will prob go German, saw a Beemer M5 Tourer recently at a fairly decent price. Big engine for me, big back for the kids, everybody happy!

YEP :D

IMO, BMW's look good with real low bodykits and no rear spoilers :smoker2: . Of course a powerful engine is a must!
