A/C Problem

hi all, im going to be purchasing a 94 GP with the 3.1l. the current owner said he rebuilt the motor in 2001 with some oversized pistons however and he said the a/c pulley is running tight against the belt, making the motor struggle. im not really concerned all that much with a/c, so is it possible to just remove the a/c system and run a shorter lenght belt for the rest of the motor, and if so, does anyone know the PN?
