Don't know what to try next, any ideas?
Have our 98 ls up for sale and every time someone hears it has 180.000 on it they aren't interested, it's priced below bluebook to account for the miles but this thing does not smoke at all not even at startup, burns no oil , leaks nothing, trans replaced, it runs beautifully, and looks good but I can't even get anyone to look at it since it never goes beond the phone call stage, I bought it with high miles because I know that if taken care of and if the majority of the miles are highway these motors can last a very long time "like ours 400mi a day on the highway was what the previous owner put on it",
I don't think that 2k is outrageous when low bb is at $2.700.
We need to sell it because we need the cash, but I'm not going to give it away.
I have seen comparable astros in our area going for 5k with 120.000k on them, I'm just at a loss on what to do.

Just make sure you mention they are mostly "highway" miles. You know it used to be hard to sell a car anytime it got close to 100k miles. If it was over that, forget about getting more than $500 for it. Now.... That number seems to have moved up quite a bit, but I would guess you are close the that magic, hard to sell number for most folks. Good Luck!

ONe thing you might try is printing the "AStro Mileage" thread from this forum. I just bought a 97 with 98K on it just due to that thread. It's good to know that, with proper care, you can get outstanding mileage with it.

Having said that, I will tell you that yours seems to have a lot of miles on it, and , without having seen it, sounds like you're in that $900-$1200 territory. Sounds harsh, I know, but that's all you can expect from a private sale, with no warranty.

I sold my wife's Voyager van last year with 372,000 kms on it.The guy turned on the key and seen the milage and sais to his wife, nope.I,nocrap man, said "shut up and drive it".They were gone no more than 3 mins,he came into the shop and said they would be back in 45 mins with the cash.In the time they have owned it they have but on 50,000 kms and put an alt on it and he says that he will take 10 more like that if I have them.
