Cylinders...

Hey everyone. Yesterday while my car was running my dad pulled off each spark plug to see if each one was getting spark. When he pulled off #1 the car died. When he pulled off each of #2 and #3 it didn't really make much difference, but they were getting spark. What does this mean? From the posts that I've read, could there be low compression in cylinders 2 and 3? Just curious.
