alpines Power Density Digital Amplifier

hi i was wondering if anyone has used alpines Power Density Digital Amplifiers to run there mids and highs. they are class d. but will that make to much of a difference?

they have had problems with them .... and at $1000 list price, it's kinda pricey

what problems have they been having i say some for not to bad of a price, PDX-1000.1 is like 400
