LOL!!!
I've not been in here in a long time. I'll tell you what I know about the Colt.
It was a wagon type of car but taller than your usual wagon. I believe these either had a Mitsubishis 2.6L or 2.0L I4 or the Chrysler 2.2L or 2.5L engine. I don't think there was ever a turbo version; I think they are all n/a.
I don't know much about them, but what did you want to know specifically?

hmmm, well, I may be getting one for a dollar, and it would be my ricer :D (homemade body kit, wing, paint etc) just for good gas and rallying around. I have seen one with TURBOCOLT badge...so I assume it has a turbo version....I just want to know anything about them, because there seems to be a major lack of info.
Also, how hard do you think it would be to add a turbo if it is one of those engines, even if it wasnt turbo'd origionally?

If it doesn't have a turbo, don't bother with the engine that is currently in there. You will have to replace the internals with forged parts, and I am not even sure about the block. You could do the turbo II engine swap. Talk to a Chrysler dealer and ask how much you can get a 2.2L I4 for a turbo II setup and you will also need the radiator, intercooler, garrett T3 turbo, and possibly the fuel system. You would have a 14 second Dodge Colt when you were done, hell put some 120 octane fuel in and you should be able to hit in the 13s.
If you wan't some detailed info on what you would need to do for an engine swap I can give you the FWD mopars gurus e-mail.

well if it helps u any man, i owned a 88 dodge colt turbo. it had a 1.6 litre engine that supposedly put down like 145 horse, but i toasted stock 5.0's in that thing, it was fast, i have a built up ford probe now, and i still think that, that little colt could take my car. its a shame i slammed it into a gaurd rail.:(
