If it makes you feel better, my 3.9 has been leaking oil from the front seal for about 10 years and it still runs. I won't fix it.

I wouldn't buy a special tool to do one job when you can pay a mechanic who already has the tool to do it. Think about it.

Thank you Bleed Dodge for suggestions.
Maybe you right. But I do not like oil on my garage floor, and I already check in Dakota dealership. To fix it cost 180 dollars plus taxes so it is about $200.
Seal itself cost $11 dollars, with buying tools I still saving at least half plus pleasure to work on the car.
Best regards.

I would go to http://www.ebay.com/ Then check for a used matco-OTC-Mac-Snap-on-tools. and check if you can find a used tool.
Miller tool used to make chrysler tools. I have used some pvc tubing and couplings the correct size to pop in a seal in a hard to reach ares. Some times you will need to install a sleeve on a crankshaft if a groove is worn in it. Your pictures are not real clear but I think if you check a OTC tool dealer they will have one. I think an internal thread puller has to be used to pull the pulley.
I checked chiltons and it said to punch two small holes in the seal and use a small dent puller slide hammer to pull the seal this uses two metal screws in the seal and the slide hammer pulls the seal.
If you buy a seal and ready sleeve the seal will have numbers like 35.62.10 ID OD Width of seal. Bearings inc. sells seals and ready sleeves. OTC 800-533-6127 ext.3 Get a part no. You will need seal dimensions.
800-939-8665 Usa Tool Warehouse. They can surely come up with a seal driver. To drive a ready sleeve I use a pipe nipple with an ID close to the shaft for mower gear boxes and cranks.

Thank you very much Enthusiast.
Your massage helps me finally go on right track. I find tools with Miller, but of course there are expensive. I will try for use one, but I can always go back to Miller. Thanks again for your expertise.
