Okay so I decided I am going to go with oversized valves and get a 5 angle valve job done. But, while I was looking at valve guides on slowboyracing.com I found bronze valve guides. The problem is that they offer a standard size and 1mm over. Do I need the oversized guides with oversized valves?

Yes, but may I ask why are you going with oversized valves? Are you going to need them? With OS valves, the valves and pistons run a closer tolerance then with stockers, and that means that you have that much less space to mess up with on timing before something bends. Unless you ABSOLUTLEY need them, I would just stick with SS stock valves. :2cents:

Yeah, thanks. I have decided to go with stainless steel valves and keep the stock size. BTW the valves I want come with a nitrided option. The option does not cost more but, what is nitrided? Anything special? Heres the link http://www.slowboyracing.com/more.php?id=1129&;

It's a hardening treatment for the valves.
