choosing subs 12"

i am having problems deciding on 12" subs for my car. in need 1000-1200 watts peak and 500-800 watts RMS because my amp is a Pyramid PB1836GX pushing 2400 watts or 1200 watts x2 channels so i need subs that can handle it but i cant spend a lot of money (which is why i chose this low-priced not-so-name-brand Pyramid amp because it has high output and low price)

i have looked at Pyramid, MDX, Lanzar, Audiobahn (if i get these it'll by the DUB series), XP, Blitz, Boss, Pyle, Legacy, and Volfenhag. My thinking is that a higher sensitivity/efficiency rating and a dual voice coil are choosing factors but let me know if thats the case.

what brand of subs are best for low priced and around 1000-1200 watts peak, 500-800 watts RMS??? :dunno:

PS. I chose 12"s because i already have a box for em

thanx for any help!

Il try and keep from laughing but you would be lucky to get 300 rms on that amp. Legacy overrates stuff to an insane degree.

As for subs you listed not one of them is actually good, there mostly the same subs with different brand names and paint. If you want something decent with that will at least sound good an wont break the wallet look on ebay for a set MTX 4500-6500 series subs, kicker comp, or a set of infinity perfects. You get what you pay for, ive had experience with the infinity's and the kicker's and i ive used the 7500 series mtx and a mxs1204, all hit pretty hard with about half the rms power.

Anyone on here will say the same thing spend more now and be happy with what you get it might take a few weeks longer to get or cost a little more but its worth it. And from the looks of it your going for a budget system that hits hard, those 3 should give you an idea of what to look for.

okay if i was going to go with a differant amp and sub setup, including a new amp; again, I cannot spend alot of money. i just want a setup with a lot of power that really pounds and with 12"s so i can use the box i have now (i custom biult it for my car about two years ago when i had apair of Boss Audio 500 watt peices of crap back there, so it fits perfectly in my trunk)

what brands would you guys recommend???

as for an amp, look into hifonics or profile.

How much are you willing to spend, for just subs and a decent amp it can run 400 min upwards for something that wont sound like complete shit.
