Sunroof problem

Last time I race, I leave my sun roof open, after I got it it wont close all the way or open all the way, cause the slider thing stuck on the way, so tonight I take out 2 slider, and my sunroof open all the way, but it wont close ( I mean I hold the button, to closer it , the sunroof almost come to close and it just back by itself :frown: . ) I have few question

1. How can I redo my slider fabric, it seem they use different fabric then the headliner.

2. Do I need to put the slider in, in order for the sunroof to closer properly, or sunroof work without the slider ?

3. When I take out the slider, I accident brake all the little clip, that was on the slider. Where can I get a new clip, or I have to get brand new slider ?

As in slider you mean like the sun shade?

If so, the entire sunroof assembly must come out so that you can get to it properly to take it out and put a new one in.

I took the sun shade out of my Eclipse the moment I got the car, it would never close right and was a pain in the ass. It's been that way for 4 years now and I haven't had any problems yet.

Killer, it sounds like you have a problem with the alignment of the actual sunroof itself, try closing it and at the same time, push the sunroof forward with your hand to help it close. I had a problem with mine not wanting to close a couple years back, and I think that's what the problem was, it just gets out of alignment sometimes.

I also took mine off when it didn't want to work properly. It's not like I really ever had it closed anyway lol.
