ok i put a cold air intake on my car. 2000 GTP and since then at random times my serverice engine light would come on and the code was that my car was running to rich. so i figured id do a tune up. now the light is on ALL the time unless i run mid grade gas. but its the GTP so it requires premium.
i changed this so far
new fuel filter
new plugs
new wires
180 t-stat
new serpentine belt
new supercharger belt
oil change
coolant flush
i dont know why else it would be on

Here are a couple of thoughts:
If you put too much oil on the air filter, it could have fouled the MAF sensor. MAF sensors will cause a variety of problems including misfueling the engine.
Another thought was the Air charge temp sensor. If this was inadvertantly not reinstalled during the conversion, the computer may not have proper values for air temp.
