well...
welcome aboard...

I must say owning a DSM is fun, but also a pita at times...

I suggest checking out www.vfaq.com (http://www.vfaq.com)
read the stickies at the top of the forums too, they offer alot. They tell the forum rules, and offer tons of links to helpful info and sites.

also, to understand how a turbo works, go to http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm

That's a simple way of how it works.

Not sure that you can delete it... A mod will have to delete it...

Welcome to AF. The best advice for learning how your car works is being on these boards, reading about peoples troubles, insight, etc, and reading articles. You'll learn ALOT by just doing some simple reading.

"and dont forget to use the search feature". learn it, use it, its now your best friend.

and if you dont use the search before you ask questions, everyone starts yelling at you.

Also keep a nice wide open space for the car in your garage or driveway. Some place nice and flat so you have plenty of room to work.
