Just got a GST...

ok well as you can see i am new at this. and i do have a GS. well the point is just got a pretty much stock eclipse GST i dont see any mods. and it has a turbo timer. i was wondering how exactly the turbo works. i havent driven the car or any other turbo car.
well any help will be appreciated..
