That looks smart! That's a Tamiya kit right? Never seen it built before, only the boxart.

Thanks, it's the Alpine-Renault A442 Turbo kit #24011, it is still available from some sources. The re-issue has much better decals. Paint is Krylon Sun Yellow, had to scratchbuild most of interior(old motorized kit.

Very Smooth work. Have you done the Nissan R390 GT1 yet?

Thank You,
No I haven't built the Nissan 390 yet. I have done some work on it. I cut the rear bumper unit loose from the fenders and made it almost snaplock in place. I will have to get back to it sometime. I wasn't sure how I wanted to do the paint job.

This car didn't race at Lemans but it goes with this thread in a way because of the type of car. Decals were really fun on this one.

Very nice work! especially the Toyota.

More Le Mans cars will be the next projects once the rally cars are finished.

Le Mans Miniatures 1/24th Bentley EXP Speed 8 2002 & Audi R8
Profil 24 MG Lola EX257
Renaissance Transkit for Ferrari 360 Modena
and probably a transkit Porsche 911 GT3 providing this years decals become available.

but these are a way off yet!! 3 or 4 rally cars to build yet.

Steve

Damn those look exceptional. It's funny too that you said you'd like to see other poeple's le mans cars, and for this thread anyway, you are the only one who can show us up.

So is the Bently just like the others, all plastic, just smaller scale? What's a "PM kit"?

Nice Le Mans collection and they all look great.
For now I only have build one, the Tamiya Mazda 787B winner of the 91 race.

The Bentley is a 1/43rd scale Resin Kit by Provence Moulage,I think they stopped making them because of licensing issues.

Had to look this one up - way back ... :bloated:

Anyway, here's my Sauber C-9 from Tamiya. Some of you might already have seen it on Automotomover, but for those who didn't. Here are some pics.

I did some weathering to represent to dirt after some hours of extensive racing. Curbside (I didn't had good reference pictures at the time), Seat-belts added, wiring in cockpit, aerials added, CF decals, valves etc. I' thinking of doing another C-9, the black 1988 one, if I can get hold of the S27 AEG decal sheet that is. And a WPSC 1989 one - Tamiya body with Hasegawa rear wing.

Heler/Airfix Peogeot 905. Would be better to glue engine cover in place before painting. Tires were also replaced. Not a good kit at all.
