97 Lesabre power steering fluid leak

There is big noise when I turn my Steering wheel. The noise dissapeared after adding the power steering fluid. Need it be repaired? Can I just add the power steering fluid on time? the gay in the garage told me the cost for fixing it is $150-$250. Thanks a lot.

Yes, you can add fluid on time to stop the power steering from growling, but mind you, the problem will not go away, it just will get worst as time goes on. Eventually you will have to repair/fix the leak.

Did the mechanic say where the pump is leaking? For the amount you would get charged ($150-$250) I'd hope you'd be getting a whole new pump and not just a leak repair :eek7:
