04 nissan quest won't start again

Hi! Someone told me of this site to ask for assistance with my 04 nissan quest. This is our 4th nissan from the same dealership. Imagine my frustration when I had it towed in today (92 bucks) b/c it wouldn't start, and it started right up for the dealer. Had this been the first time, I would have written it off. This is the third time in one month. The first time was after it sat at the airport for three days. It cranks, but won't start. Starts out of the blue after about 25 tries. This past weekend, it wouldn't start after driving it from Kansas City to Tulsa. Wouldn't start for two days. ON day two, after about 15 tries, started right up. This morning, same deal, won't start. Had it towed to dealer and it started. Dealer calls and says "well, the check engine light isn't on, and it started up, so I don't know what to tell you." I told him I didn't feel safe driving the car with three small kids anymore. He offered to "drive it around the block and try again." Whatever the heck that means. I'm frustrated! Can you demand them to figure it out?? What do you do in cases like this? I've sworn today if I end up taking the van home with no repair that I will buy a Honda/Toyota despite our love for Nissan.

Oh, and one other thing. IT IS WARRANTY! CAN YOU SAY FREEBIE!!!!!!!!!!
And you want reimbursed for the tow job from Nissan.

Look through all the pages in this link (8), and see if you can match any other problems you have to the listed technical service bullitens.

Hope I've been of use.

Hey chubb...Thanks for the reply, I had to laugh at "shove this down their throats"....I was fit to be tied yesterday, but lucky me, the car wouldn't start this am, so they hooked it up to something to check the fuel pressure after sitting...or something like that. Seems to be what was in that bulletin you posted. Very helpful...I was having a hard time navigating the world of automobile message boards...! I'll post later what they finally find out.:)

Let us know. They should of checked to fuel pressure the first time. They know these bullitens are out there. They're just wasting your time. Now lets see if they can do the repair right the first time.

Good morning...dealership just called and it's a failed fuel pump, they ordered it and should have the car fixed tommorow. Hopefully that will fix the problem! Thanks again for the assistance!
