I have Mazda 626 2.0 DiTD '02.
My airbag light on the dashboard is blinking code 46 (4 long blinks, pause, 6 short blinks, long pause and so on). What this code means?

Welcome on your first post on AF.
Air bags can save your life or take it in a split second.
It is better and safer to leave the repair on them to a professional.
The light flashes may not be the true code.
It needs checked out with a SIR capable scanner.
But if the light is on it means you have a problem and air bags proably will not work in case of a accident.

I know some guys from other forum, that had airbag codes 45, 47 and 48. They had to clean some wire connections, or make "downgrade" of the system (I won't write details in here) and it always worked, so I don't want to spend 100 Euro (~140 Dollars) for in.
I know a bit of electronics and want to do things by myself, because I trust myself and don't trust "professionals", which are sometimes not professionals at all.
Of course if the error turns out to be some difficult to solve problem, I'll give it to Mazda shop.

If you want to get into it I would suggest some good repair info on it.
Here is a link to one of the best.

I checked SIR codes for your vechical and they do not get that big.
37 is the largest code I found.
The sir light does not flash the true code. You will need to get it scaned with a SIR capable scanner to get the code.
Good luck
