ok i got a 2000 GTP with 96,000 on her. i put a cold air intake on and ive been getting an SES light saying system to rich, plus the car sputters and im only getting 20mpg on the HIGHWAY so my guess is a tune up is needed.
what are some tips and tricks you all have learned maybe some tools to make it easier.
ive heard NOT to roll the engine forward it only causes new problems but how else do i get back there? i have (not bragging) huge hands and arms so its hard for me to work on cars to begin with.

Rolling forward is EASY. Just unbolt the two bolts and grab engine and pull. Then put one bolt back in to hold it in place. It only moves a couple of inches. It is not hard. It gives you a lot more room.

IVe heard alot of bad things about rolling the engine forward. im not sure if i want to risk that. im short on cash and dont need to replace motor mounts or anything.
but if i was to do it. would i put the car in neutral?

Do searches on this and other Grand Prix sites and use the terms dogbones or rocking the engine and you should find all the info you need.
You should always get more than one opinion anyway.
Or you can just do what I previously said.
I have the GM manual on my Grand Prix and I looked in it tonight and it just says to remove and replace the sparkplugs. No mention of moving the engine.
I was skeptical at first too.
