if none of you know the background story, i was at applebees when i met this one guy who started talking to me about my car. he is pretty good friends with a few people i dont really care to be around. i had never met him before though, anyways we finished talking and i went inside. now some of his friends are douchebags and one of them just bought a hooked up mustang. a few weeks prior to this, i was talking to his sister and she was telling me how his mustang would smoke my car, so i said "whatever, if he wants to line them up, ill be there.
anywyas later that night at applebees on i see the guy from the parking lot with the 2-3 guys that i dont like, they are sitting like 1 table away. then one of them leans over hes like "who here has the gst?" and i nod my head like "whats up". he said "this man wants to race you, wednesday at sunshine speedway"(the local track). He points to this guy that has a camaro ss. I'm like "ok then...lets do it". then he starts telling me how ive been talking shit about the one guy's mustang. I'm thinkin to myself "how come mustang boy doesnt wanna line up?" i keep quiet anyways, and i agree to meet them at the track.
he says "how much boost are you running?"
of course i downplay it and say "16psi at the track"
hes like "thats it?!?! youre gonna need a miracle, man."
ok whatever, we finish our meal and leave a little bit later.
anyways yesterday i saw the same kid that i had met that night in the parking lot, and he shakes my hand and hes all friendly and like "heyyy whats up dude. We still up for wednesday?" So i say yeah, im still up for it. then this BASTARD has the odacity to say this: "Hey, we're not trying to pick on you, we just hate when dumb kids talk shit about our cars, when they havnt even done anything with theirs". Ok, first of all, this kid had that scion tb, or whatever, the box looking thing. His other friend has a beat up old mustang that is falling apart. The only respectable cars in that clique are the hooked up mustang and the camaro ss. anyways im just like "whatever i gotta go".
So its on for this wednesday. Im running 20 psi, a exhaust gasket leak, and a shitty street launch. His camaro is bone stock (i looked at it.) what do you guys think my chances are? What if i were to improve the launch before then? I know the track has much more grippy surface. thanks guys, wish me luck.

take his ass to school. with your mods you should be runing low 13s. it all depends on the driver

It'll be a tough race.
His car doesn't weight all that much more than that GS-T and he is probably putting down close to the same power as you are stock. And he is RWD.
If your a good driver, I would give you a fighting chance, if he is a good driver who knows.
If this was a freeway race I would give it to you no doubt but off the line he is just going to hook up way better than you.
On a side note. These threads are generally not acceptable as they are considered bench racing, and that's a no no.
Best way to find out is to race him and post up what happens.
