Just got a 90 CRX that wasn't running due to the screw on the dizzy rotor comming loose and crackin the module.Replaced the mudule and the CRX fired-up.Now the problem is that once the engine hits 3500 rpm,it acts like it's hits the rev limit, and has no power.Could this be a dizzy problem or fuel problem??Could it be a fuel pump on it's way out,or when the screw came loose in the dizzy it messed something up.Please help.....

Its real easy. Pull off passenger side carpet. Look at your ecu and admire its high-tech greatness. There should be a clear openning on it where there is a red light enhoused. Turn your key to ON and you'll see a quick flash that says the ecu works. Count every flash after that and either look it up yourself, or report back.

click this link: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=118785 - look for post #5, it has a list of all the ecu codes. You never mentioned if you set the distributor timing after you replaced and tightened everything...just because it starts doesn't mean its timed properly

very good point viper. anytime you take your dizzy off, you should do the timeing all over. to be on the safe side.

Thanks ppl,I got another dizzy, and it runs great. The pick-up in the other dizzy was bad, guess when the rotor screw bounced around inside it messed it up.I think it's going up for sale.
