!stock hatch spoiler!

hi, i decided not to get a type R wing for my hatch, in order to have extra cash for a new paint job.(tired of my primered front end) so i want my stock spoiler to look at least a little sporty. ive heard and seen hatches that have a raised stock spoiler. i heard it has something to do with washers? so please help me out somebody!
