my 1996 blazer won't start (engine cranks but does not fire) have had a problem with stalling and hard starting, I connected my meter but it showed no codes. now the dash lights don't come on when I turn on the key and it won't do anything........and my meter won't even link. do you have any trouble shooting ideas. the manual that I have is all but useless:

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to the position before start.
You should hear it whine for 2-3 seconds.

funny you should mention the fuel pump... I have just had it replaced when the car acted this way about a month ago. It does not seem to be whining at the moment..could the fact that I have no indicator lamps functional on the dash somehow cause the fuel pump to malfunction
