I think it might have had a few things done to it. It accelerates away from those interceptors just way too fast to be stock. :2cents:

dude that video was flippin awesome. even though its a bad thing to break the law and steal cars and run from the cops, I still hate the way the host/announcer/whatever guy from that show talks so much trash about the talon. "this guy thinks hes a hotshot" and "driven by ego" and "before he can slap his buddy a high five...". its like dude, this dsm just f**kin owned alabama's finest. how are you gonna talk shit about him? they pulled out the big guns (mustang 5.0) and what-not, and he blew them all away. thats good driving skills too, some of the turns he took were crazy. and yeah the dsm started falling apart after a (kinda long) while, but lets see that 5.0 keep going that hard for that long. annnyyywaayz... hey everyone drive safe and leave the racing for the track. save your engine too.

well i figure that because its a police car, it woulda been better than a stock 5.0 plus, in the sticks like that im sure the yuppie sheriff probably would have had it hooked up a little.

Yeah it looked like the stock exhaust to me so im not sure if it was modded that much. Im not sure when this actually took place but were they even makin heavy mods for it back then? Only thing i can think is maybe a boost controller and small intake mods.

I don't know what you speak of when you say "unmodded" since when are DSMs not modded :p Pretty badass vid, old, but still badass. Makes me want to go AWD.. but I'd break something :D

yeah that figures the Dsm dies when he needs it the most, I told my girl when she finally gives birth imma take her chevy to the hospital, becuase i know if i take my Dsm its gonna break down 3-4 blocks before we get to the hospital j/k.... does anyone have any good storys about there dsm breaking down in the time of need haha?

yeah one time in michigan i lived in flint and had to be to court in ann arbor(about 100miles drive) and my car started overheating before i even got on the highway. i dunno if that counts but...

Well, atleast we know what cruisers are made of. Gives me hope for my Cannonball Run through my hometown this coming summer :p. We have chargers though, not 5.0 Crustangs. That video is pretty old, did you see how nice the wheels were? I also hate that announcer. One time it showed him by a cruiser saying something like, "Police cruisers are powerfull machines, but what happens when a criminal has the cruiser out powered?" So I get all excited, rather than being some redneck in a beat up truck or some drug dealer in a Cadillac I figured it would be like a 500 hp Supra or something. Nope, the shit was a damn V6 Blazer. They were swerving all over through traffic and whatnot and the announcer is like, "The sport tuned suspension of this Blazer allow him to swerve through traffic with ease and the massive engines 250 horsepower make it a formidable opponent for the cruiser." I was like what the fuck. That is in no way, shape, or form a "performance" vehicle, I wonder what would happen if they actually met something with a decent amount of power and some real cornerablity.

^yeah, there's a bunch of stupid shit like that... how a/b a 3.8l Thunderbird out running the cops... or a dirtbike (of all vehicles...)

Oh and for everybody that says "typical of that DSM to break down", if you fucking listened to how fast the guy was going, any car trying to sustain 130+ mph is not going to last long unless it's a Porsche or something. That is a prime example of driving it like he stole it, and what do you know, it broke down.

I'm pretty sure the game has an Eclipse. I haven't played it for a while, I'd definitely say it's a good buy. I'll go throw it on the ps2 and see if there are DSMs.
