Color-coding inside the sub-forums?

The separate truck sub-forum post just gave me an idea: How about a little icon or a specific color to differentiate between each of the genres inside the sub-forums. For example, in the Muscle Car/Hot Rod sub-forum, muscle cars could be a red header, hot rods could be blue, pro touring could be yellow, dragsters could be green, rat rods could be purple, etc.

I don't know if it would make a big impact or anything, but if people actually stuck to it when making a new thread, it might help people find something they are looking for a little more easily.

Especially in the Street sub-forum, which is supposed to be everything that isn't Motorsports, Motorbikes, or Muscle Cars & Hot Rods.

It's a great idea, but every new member that comes along is then going to have to be asked to comply....we'll spend more time telling people to color code their threads than building (something I already don't do enough of).

I like the check-box idea, that way the thread maker can decide wether or not to 'mark' it. That way we wouldn't need to tell everyone about color codes. At least whenever I post a thread I look closely at the options I have.

Or at the thread maker thing (I don't know the name,)
get them to write: Plese color code thread!
