Hello,

In between my oil pan and the tranny housing I have oil leaking out. 2006 Wrangler Unlimited 4.0 auto with only 15,000 miles on it. Is this common? Thanks

Mike

Could be the rear main seal or the rear of the valve cover. Its fairly common when Jeeps get a few years old but not on such a new Jeep. The dealer should fix it under warranty.

I know......I change my oil every 3000 miles religiously. It wasn't there 3000 miles ago, but stood out like a sore thumb yesterday. I noticed the oil even more when I pressed on that rubber housing boot aft of the oil pan!
