I need help finding the air exchange door to get it unstuck. when i press the recirc button on my heat/air unit it illuminates meaning that its probably not a fuse but it always stays in the open (outside air) position.
Any way in getting this unstuck ? or does anyone know where this thing is located? under the dash etc....?

The door is above the driver's accelerator pedal. Are you sure it doesn't close to reciruclate partly the inside air?
The only way I can tell is to have the blower on high after the car has stabilized and switch the recirculate on.
you don't say which AC system you have and you car year and model.
I had to bypass the plastic lines connector for the lines that carry the vacuum to the 4 motors that move the vacuum doors. But that usually gives problems with making the door for the AC dash vents close to block the defrost air and make it come out the dash vents.
You may have a vacuum line off for that one door if the others seem to work okay>

I drive a 98 LeSabre and the heat/vent/air conditioner only opperate with the air exchange position set to "Outside air". Even if i switch the Recirc button on the A/C,Heat unit on the dash the Recirc button illuminates but the air exchange will not swith to inside air only. Another example is when i have the unit turned off completely i still fell air come it at my feet while the car is moving which tells me that the echange is stuck to the outside air position.
Thanks for your help,
Pete
