Turn signals acting up...

This has been happening for quite some time now and its getting to the point to where it would be nice to fix...

My turn signals work...its just sometimes it can take a few seconds to a few minutes for them to come one. It started out as just the left doing it but now it happens to both. I will switch the lever and it clicks into position but the light doesn't flash immediatly like it should...it seems the warmer it is outside the quicker it will eventually come on but its not always the case. Now I can make it come on immediatly by barely switching the turn signal and holding it at the "sweet spot" but that can be a pain when making turns/shifting/steering...

Fuses check out ok...so I'm guessing it would have something to do with the wires, but I'm not totally sure...wandering if anyone else here has encounterd this problemo...

The blinker on your car is probably shot, its a thermal type, basically it gets hot, and shuts off...repeatedly, thats how it works, and also why yours blinks when its hot out :P Its on the fuse panel under your dash, and can easily be replaced. Your local auto parts store should have it, and if thats not it, take it back or something, but Im 99% sure.

he's saying that if he hold the lever at the "sweet spot" the blinker will come on and work immediately...it could be the turn signal switch or a combination of things...but frodo's right when the signal is delayed like that it usually ends up being the flasher

Well it could still be the blinker, I know they are unrelated, but flourecent bulbs will do the same thing when they start to die, you hit what seems like a sweet spot, and sometimes it takes multiple attempts before they flicker to life, so it may not be a sweet spot your hitting, but rather your blinker relay is just coming on for once..
