Have you actually taken the cap off the rad to look? (engine cool when doing this) You will have a coolant level sensor in your coolant overflow tank or the rad itself. If it is not submerged you'll have a light on. Try unplugging the wire to the sensor, your light should go off and you know the sensor is defective. If not, look for a short in the wiring.

I had this symptom on my '95 Cutlass last year. The fix is simple. There is a sensor on the right hand side of the radiator (passenger side). It is mounted on the end cap up at the top just below the filler neck. That sensor needs to be replaced. It is held in with a clip. Simply remove the plug from the sensor, remove the clip and pull the body out of the radiotor and insert a new sensor and hook the plug back in.

Your coolant temp sensor would only indicate tempreture. Did you unplug the wire to the coolant level sensor yet? Try that.

If it is only the drivers side door that chooses to work intermittenly, check the wiring going to the actuator. Chances are there is a loose/corroded/chafed wire. wiggle the powerfeed wires around while using your key fob to lock and unlock the doors.
If all your doors stop working at the same time, try replacing the battery in your key fob.

I don't have any answers for you although I'm having what may be similar problems with my 1994 Cutlass supreme. My automatic door lock buttons work fine from the inside of the vehicle, but my door key won't unlock the doors from the outside anymore. The key still works fine on the trunk. Also the ignition key is stuck in the ignition in the on position and won't come out. I had to poop the hood and strart pulling spark plug wires until it stalled, just to turn it off. I then un-hooked the ground cable from the battery so it wouldn't be on all night. The battery has a full charge, and if I hook it up I can start the vehicle and drive it, But I can't turn it off cause the key won't turn into the off position, to where I can remove it. Do you think the ingnition key problem and the door lock problem are related? Where should I start to look for the problem. Thanks for any ideas.

Thank you for the quick response. I'll give it try. I thought I should probably have started my own new thread too, but I couldn't figure out how to do that. I'm still not sure how, but I'll keep looking for the spot to do it, for the next time. If I do get the old key out, where would I get a new one? Dealer?

yes, a dealer. Your key is obviously worn out. You could also get another steering column with a key from an auto recycler if you fail to wiggle your old key out. Do what costs right for you. But keep at that key.. wiggle it everywhich way you can while lightly turning it to the off position. It wont be easy, or take only a minute.. right now you have nothing to loose, so spend a half hour at it, and you'll probably get it.
