I have 2 problems.Whenever i start my car it squeeks loud then it stops. So in the nite time when i let my car idle it started to make that squeeking noise again but just stays on this time. It all started when i was driving my car in hard rain and a couple days later thats when it all started.
My second question. My car idles extremely low like at 200. Whenever i drive it it starts to bog whenever i switch my gear it seems like my car is jerking like i'm driving a stick for the first time! So it bogs then it goes normal then it bogs. I tried to adjust the idle and it seems better at first then later on it does it again. ITs not throwing any codes so...? Please help!

the loud squeaking sounds like ur belt. i had a vw that did that during the winter only. the dampness in the air causes the belts to slip. it's usually the p/s or alt. that do it.

1. Sounds like your belts got a little wet when you drove hard in the rain. Best bet is to tighten up your a/c and alternator belt, they prolly got a little loose and started sqeeking.
2. I'd replace your fuel filter, it may be clogged and causing the bog and low idle due to low fuel pressure and not enough fuel getting into your engine

Well i hope its nothing big. I'm gonna try to see if its the fuel filter. Anybody else had this problem?

My car would start then die. I sort of figured it was a fuel problem. It only did that once, then started every other time. But I replaced the Fuel Filter and have not had that problem at all, so I assume that was the problem.

water on the belts is not a good thing, i would suggest just replacing them all together now, cuase maybe the water caused it to stretch also weakening it. also i would try and put some fuel injection cleaner just to help

hey sammy..i know i talked to you yesterday about this...but i remembered something from when mine was doing this. you may have already tried this...but.....loosen the 2 12mm nuts on your throttle cable and adjust it to raise your idle. however, make sure that when your peddle is floored, the thing (not sure what it's called) still hits the metal stopper at wide open throttle. try this if you only tried adjusting the idle by putting a flathead screwdriver in that adjustment screw on/near the throttle body. my engine has squeeked like that too.....try some belt dressing (aerosol spray kind...spray when engine is off)...if that doesn't work then replace your alternator belt and make sure the tension is right...maybe take it to honda and have them set the tension the same as like a 95 del sol dohc vtec. hope that helps some, dude :)

Hey thanks fishcat. I replaced the fuel filter and still the same shit. I'm gonna try to adj. my throttle again. Thanks though.
