Hey people! What's up?
Direct to the question: Does Oven Cleaner strips lacquer and enamel paints?
I saw somewhere that it can "eat" the plastic...Is that true?
How can I strip paint with it?
If someone could help me,that would be a great help to me! :icon16:
Thanks alot!

I've never had oven cleaner eat styrene plastic, but as always, just test it with a piece of sprue from the same kit fist.

Oven cleaner is what I use all the time for stripping paint and chrome, never had problems before. Just wear gloves when handling the parts or put them in a plastic bag so you dont get any on your skin.

nope no problems with good ol' easy off!! I like the lemon scented arosol, it's a bit easier on the sinuses and does actually seem to work better for stripping paint.
