My "Badger" armada:
Automotive paints: Badger 200NH
All the rest: Badger 150/100, depending if I need the jar of the first or the cup of the former is enough. I like the 100 best. :)
Cheers,
Luis

I have a paasche vl series. I like it so far. I have only used it on interiors as I am still learing, but so far I really like how it sprays and its easy to work with

I recently purchased a new one, a Gabbert TripleX. I like it so far haven't found a negative thing about it yet, cleaning is really easy because you can remove the head part and you can turn it so you have gravity feed and bottom feed in one gun. (that feature is not really common as far as I know). This gun is probably not really known outside germany or europe so I post some pics..
that's the gun

Badger 200,Badger 150,Tamiya Spraywork HG Single action.I am currently after something that I can use solely for laying down colour coats and clearcoats onto car bodies etc.Something that can give decent heavyish wet coats,be simple to clean and robust. If anyone has any recommendations for such an airbrush please let me know.

so i was airbrushing a model and my dad walked into the garage. i showed him my airbrush, and 10 minutes later he came out of the house and handed me a iwata hp-c, iwata hp-sb, and two olympos trigger airbrushes. arrggh. had i known that my dad had 4 airbrushes i wouldnt have spent so much to buy my own airbrush. i guess having a dad thats an artist has its advantages.

I have been using a cheap harbor freight airbrush for about 10 years now for all of my work. I have gotten quite proficient with it. I have found that if you mix your paint right, and use patience, and practice, you will work well with any sprayer.
however, I bet if I were to get a devillbliss or sata, or iwata, my paint jobs would be much better, and easier.
oh and I also use a paasche h-series for my larger projects. I'm a cheap a$$, and I don't want to shell out the cash. I may here in the near future when I get a 50% off coupon from hobby lobby, or something.

Paashe VL six year old brush, treated it well and it treats me as well although i'm looking to upgrade soon.
Unfortunately it sounds like my compressor is starting to show signs that it might die soon so, i might have to look into getting a new comp before upgrading the airbrush. Nevertheless good brush that VL only paid $54 for the set. best bang for buck!!

Steve, These are my Air Brushes
I would recomend the Iwata Kustom TH due to it's 'Fan' Nozzle but it's quite expensive and rare in the UK, depending on the compressor you have maybe the DeVilbiss SRi Spray Gun which I have been using for my 2K Clear Coats before I got the Kustom TH

Thanks for the advice Steve.I really appreciate it.I have been looking at something similar to the DeVilbiss, although it's a different make.I'm not sure my compressor could power it.It goes up to 80 ps.i,but does not store much air in reserve.I think the larger type mini sprayguns would probably use up the air faster than my compressor could make it.Maybe I should bite the bullet and look to upgrade my compressor as well!

Ok, don't kill the newbie, but I did search and am really looking for more of a personal response from you all.
I want A airbrush. But I know not what kind.
I want to:
Paint anything I will need, even fine/small pieces.
Be able to do bodies.
Have dual action.
Want the best quality
So, which kind?
What kind of compressor?
Sorry to hijack, but this thread has been really helpful so far!
THanks
