ahhhh! Scotch locks! Satans spawn!
If you want to run the lights when the key is off, then find a hot-all-the-time power source. If you want to run them only when the key is on, then find a hot-when-the-key-is-on power source....or if you only want them to run when a particular circuit is hot, such as the brake lights or running lights.....well, you get the idea.
Being an 86 astro, there will be provisions for these circuits right in your fuse box, and you can leave the.....a..... *twitch* scotch locks out of the system.
