I have a 2001 buick LeSabre with 69,000 miles on it.
Sometimes when I am driving it will just cut off in the middle of traffice. Doing this time the volt light will show up on the dash. This happen before and after I replace my battery. I replace my battery about 2 weeks ago and made sure the cables were tight.
Then sometimes after I have driven for a while and go into the store and come back out it will not start.
I took it to the shop and unless they can duplicate the problem they don't know what wrong with it. And of course when I take it there it will not do anything.
Have any one had this problem?:shakehead

First thing you probably need to do is get the ECM codes scanned and see what's in there. Once you have the codes you can start validating/confirming what they tell you.

Welcome to AF, so when it didn't start, you mean it wouldn't crank or cranked and wouldn't fire, plus how long and how did it finally start, all this info is required.

I mean that it would act like it want to start. But if I let it sit for maybe 15 to 20 minutes it will start right up again.

During this no start event, you will have to check for spark at the plugs and fuel pressure and /or injector pulse, this will take a helper of course and a scanner to check for cranking rpms and a fuel pressure gage, a noid lite for checking injector pulse, this can be, without guess work, a difficult diagnosis.
