Cleaning floors

After a long day of off roading i found a mud hole which was more of a hole than mud. any way i managed completly flooded my blazer, engine died it was a bad day.The water line was right at the bottom of the gas pedal. I was able to rip the whole int out, carpet and seats. I got the trucked towed to see what i did to the motor (90% sure i just flooded the exhaust) Before it went i was able to get all the mud out of there car. I couldnt beilve how much mud got in side the car. My carpet is in great condition just dirty.

If i would re use that capret What would be the best way to clean it. Mud is caked in some section. Or is it almost worth just replacing it? Also now that i have bear metal. Does any one now if its worth to lay down some of that sound denting stuff to get a little more of a quieter ride?

For cleaning I would hose off the mud and then steam clean. You said it's in great shape so why replace it? I don't know anything about the dead mats but now would be the time if you've wanted to do it. Now would be a good time to check all the wiring that runs under the carpet for wear etc. Also a good time to run any wire for any projects you want to do - lights - seat heaters - subs etc.

I will ask my father in law, he details cars on the side and spends anywhere from 8-12 hours per car. He actually had one person ask where is my car when the car was no more the 3 feet away. Get back soon.

I wasnt sure if cleaning it would balence out to buying a new one. I found them on ebay for around 200. But ill look in to renting a steam vac. When i riped it out and spent 3 hours cleaning the inside. I ended up frying my 4ch amp(it was under the driver seat). I dont know the cond. of the speakers but the way the car is now. I am deff gonna re wire the whole car (audio wise). Other then that all the other wires that do run under the carpet seem ok, just wet and muddy but there are no connections, just wire so i think ill be fine there.

Side now. I was thinking about seat warmers also. But i have cloth seats. Any one know how well they work w/ cloth?
