get out the checkbood because you need a new transmission. Unfortunately there almost impossible to find at junk yards and cost close to 1900.00 new

A lot of "transmission" shops, garages, and dealers will automatically trade out the transmission because it costs less to switch than the labor to rebuild. Mr. Transmission shops will frequently repair rather than switch for a reasonable price. It sounds like you may have wiped your planatary gears which means the trans is toast. Sometimes they will slip because of insufficient pressure due to clogged filters. If nothing is done quickly, more problems will result in a hurry. Drain your transmission and examine the fluid and the magnets in the pan, as well as the filter. If you see any particles large enough to feel rough when you rub it between your fingers you have problems. Change your fluid every 20,000 miles and your filter every 60,000.
