'97 Maxima Questions

Alright everybody, I just became the owner of a very clean '97 maxima with 85k miles on it. I have a couple of questions mostly regarding the stereo system and i was wondering if you guys might be able to help me out. First question, how hard is it to install an after market deck, I have a kenwood excelon deck that i pulled from Infiniti J30 when it was totaled and am debating whether or not i should install it myself or have someone do it. Next question, what size are the speakers? I have two deck speakers in the back with a 2 door speakers and tweeters in the front. I'm pretty sure the speakers in the back are smaller then the 6x9's I had in my old car, and the front look bigger the the 4 1/4's i had in my old car as well. Next thing I'm not too familiar with transverse engines, are there any common problems that I should be aware of, and if there are, what is the best way to go about either fixing the problem or preventing it from ever arising? Anyway any and all help would be much appreciated. Thanks

swap all shocks, check axleboots, fix coolant/oil leaks (if), change belts, DIY connector maintenance, fully change A/T oil, chech chassis for rust (rear wheel wells by peeking under upholstery), swap DIY stereo... and enjoy
see some details at p14&24,25 below

No rust anywhere on the car, it rides just fine meaning no shocks need to be changed out and it doesnt leak a single drop, all fluids had been changed before the guy sold the car, how do u swap the stereo?

Shocks die by the mile, last 60kmiles - so if u havent got space age titanic diamond shocks (never seen any), youre sailing. Means that if you hit pool or snow, spin totaled crash is more than probable... brakin distance is now 20% more than with new, wheels start to wear unevenly. Just one meter longer brakin distance means smtimes one meter shorter max...
ppl just dont change A/T fluids but only 1/4. Recipe for ruin... see (read) the link
take ol out first, insert new in ... the gearbox panel is lifted up, then some screws to get panel off around radio. Detailed chassis info only if u read/follow the links :)
