The long term quickie - Nissan 240SX amateur drifter.

This was supposed to be a quickie, and for the most part, was. I got the kit and within two weeks I was 99% done, and was waiting for a couple Gundam markers to come in so I wouldn't have to put forth a lot of effort to paint the plastic trim on the side :uhoh:
It's inspired by a car I used to see on campus at LSU, it was a color a lot like this, had some wheels up front (I don't remember which) and some GT-R rims in the rear. They were HUGE! on that car, and he had rolled the fender a lot so they would fit. I didn't really do the rolling, because it would be too much effor for a quickie, right? Modifications are few and simple: the wheels (obviously), the muffler, the tach, the steering wheel, a turbo timer/controller, a seat, and an intercooler. And maybe other stuff, I don't remember. The Louisiana plate is because, well, that's where the idea came from.
The idea is that it's just a 240SX someone put together to do some drifting events and autocrosses and things like that. Not too crazy, kinda clean, whatnot. Sorry the pics are dark, it's cloudy today. Please comment, good or bad!

Also, I had to redo my background because the movers mooshed it. Here you can see it during repairs, the 240SX in progress, and a 1:64 inspiration for a 1:24 coming down the pipe.

Dude!! Wich brand makes that 240SX?
I also want to build one!
Does it has much flaws, fitment problems??
You did an awesome job on this one!! looks very close to the japan amateur drift cars! (I have an 180sx and an ae86 right in front of my house)

Cool work, Will. I never realized how huge those skyline wheels were... I guess you learn something new everyday. :)

indeed that is a fine example of a local weekend drifter, but you should have made the paint on the bumpers faded and the yellow urithane showing through to be "MAD TYTE"!! haha, or one black or primered fender.
around here, we slam the cheap wheels with the rubber to burn on the back, and the good tires/wheels on front, but who knows, that may be the case here.
that is the JDM version, that has been converted using the LHD dash/interior parts. see the 180sx tails, and the front bumper is visually shorter on the JDM variant when compared side by side (dang U.S. 5 MPH bumper laws :swear: ).

excellent work willimo!...I actually think I know of the car you saw for inspiration..its a bit different these days, but he used to post on Zilvia.net alot. Great stance and excellent paint(inspired me to build a red s13 silvia when i saw this a few weeks ago) who says drift cars have to have big body kits and wiiiide wheels?..lol

Looks like a U.S. car.
Soooo many of them are burgandy.
I like the 34 GTR wheels in back and the 32 GTR wheels in front.
Looks really cool.

Great build Wil, Gotta have those wide tires in the back or else it wouldn't be a drift machine. My two cents would tell you to give the Nismo wanna be some light grey panel lines. Other than that i don't see anything wrong with it. I like the color, any inside pics? Also did you use testors decal maker for the plate? Nissan power at its finest!
