code 42 is asd where do you start

i have 96 caravan 3.8 will not start i get power to coil pack when you turn key over I BELEIVE I DO NOT GET THE 3 GROUND SINGLES AND WHERE IS THE ASD LOCATION i need help thank you

The ASD relay is in the fuse/relay panel next to the battery. Try reseating it. Try tapping on it while cranking.

i think it is the whole fuse box there is a short on power side to asd relay
so it has power all the time
I THINK THIS IS THE PROBLEM

You should have 12 vdc power at relay socket contacts 86 and 30 all the time. Is this what you are seeing?

Are you getting about 75 ohms resistance across the coil contacts 85 and 86 on the relay?

Are you getting continuity (zero resistance) across relay contacts 30 and 87A?

Should be getting no continuity (infinite resistance) across relay contacts 30 and 87.

Was it fixed???
