HI all!!!

Just recently the engine in my crx was replaced with b16a.
Since i want more power, thinking about turboing or supercharging it. Whoever had any experience in the same area, please help!!!
Don't want to put the turbo in, then spend so much time tuning it, then get both vtec and turbo kicking in the same time and scraping my feet off the rear windshield. What i heard is that the supercharger is both safer and more stable. If anyone would offer the opinion on the matter?
Please??!?!?!?!?!:(

well, you'll have to tune your car regardles, and i'd rather go turbo charged because its more cost effective. The reason why is because i have heard that 60% of the time your supercharger will get fuked up! i know 2 of my friend who have had Jackson Racing super chargers on their cars (99 Civic Si and 98 Prelude TypeSH (h22)) and they got fuked up, now the guy with the civic has a rev hard stage3 turbo setup and loves it and said its worth every penny especially running 13psi street and 18psi track. hands down, i say go with a Turbo!

Go turbo. My friends car kept throwing belts on his supercharger and you can't drive the car that way. He got a turbo and loved untill it blew up. Not his fault shops fault, don't drill the block for the oil line. Switch out the turbo and put on theexausht manifold and it is back on the street.

But how did you get the matter of vtec and turboboost kicking in the same time? That was the same problem some guy c14 (or something) had and he grew up with b-series engine? Do you guys have the stand-alone fuel management? I'm not saying that you are wrong or anything, just trying not to blow $8000 Australian on the engine interior and turbo and then blow it all to pieces? How often do you get the engine tuned on the rollers/dyno? Just thinking that it might not be worth it if it has to be done every week or something. How long did it take you to get it right?

Get a Vtec Controller and change the engaement of the vtec. My friends GSR turbo and Vtec kick in almost at the same time and it kicks ass.
