losing power?

i have a 96 honda civic lx 5 sp

lately everytime i step on the gas it seems like im losing power. i have to step it down harder to make it go more. i dont know what happen?

i recently change: oil, oi filter, cap, rotor, spark plugs, air filter, front brake pads, and new raditor fuilds....

any help?

could be the type of parts that were installed. Did you have this work done at the Honda Dealer or at an independent shop? Sometimes independent shops won't put genuine Honda parts on your car, i.e. the cap, rotor, & spark plugs might be inferior to the old parts, causing a loss in power.

Or it could be a clogged fuel filter, or even something as simple as the air filter housing clamps not being reattached (happened to me once, freaked me out).

umm i dont think it might be the aftermarket parts because it happened before i installed them...i thought it might help it improve the cars proformance... so what do you guys think my first step to solve this problem is??? any help would do...thanks

Actually, a clogged cataytic converter would lead to a loss in power. I know this might be an issue for you (the frying smell you keep talking about).
