The hatch pooped out on my friday nite on the way home from work, it seems to have compression, and spark, but wont start and there seems to be some water in the oil....im assuming blown head gasket, but will that make it not start?.....ne suggestions or ideas for what to do r deeply appreciated oh ye my car is not a hybrid ne more i sold the zc and went back to stock, should i jus put another swap in?

less something broke internally, the only way i can see oil and coolant to mix is a head gasket. BTW, if the 'water' in the oil causes it to all turn like a frothy brown or something close, its definally coolant (course you probaly new that). But yea as I said...maybe a rod or valve or something went? Wait wait...you said it had compression...hmmm...how were the #'s on the cyclinders? Hmmm...what else...my only other guess would be the main relay under the dash is done for, maybe check that out.

that does sound like a head gasket. what you should do depends on how many miles on the engine? if you want to actually invest the time & $ to fix it.
when i had head gasket troubles, i pulled the a6 for a y8 ;)

ps. habib, you crack me up! come fly out here. i'll let you track the Si and then the Teg. the dohc is too relaxed for me. there is just something about the hyperactive response of the sohc like it's on tweek... :jump: :flash:
