Why we will never see a twin turbo 350 Z

Nissan is planing on releasing the new GTR 35 in North America IN 2004, or 2005. IT will likely be an Infinity. A twin turbo Z would hurt the sales of the GTR 35. Why have out two cars in the same class to compete?

the only problem with what you just stated is that they have yet to decide if the gtr is going to have v8 in it or the same engine as the z except with twin turbo's...
and if it comes with twin turbo's atleast then we will have manifolds and factory engine mangement to swap onto our z's if you want to turbo your own z..
if the do bring the car here i think it will have a v8, because most people who can and will think about buying this car are older and more likely to want the torqe of a v8 then the high end surge of a turbo car...
if it comes here as a twin turbo, we might still benifit from it and get a turbo z that's just detuned, that way it's not making similar power levels from the factory as the gtr....:frog:
also the grt will more then likely be very similar to the gtr's of now, having all wheel drive and all that computer controlled drivetrain shit, that i'm sure we will not see in this current z at any time..:licker:

This may not have any merit but...
don't the turob Z's end in an X?
(280ZX, 300ZX)
Just something I noticed.
And say the GTR comes out w/ 400hp
the Z could have 360 or so.
Like the difference between the current Z and the G35.

And they may not ever come w/ turbos from the factory but Nismo will probably come out w/ a kit.

Whatever Nissan doesn't come out with, about a dozen or so other aftermarket suppliers will. Remember, this is a Z. It's not like noone would buy the kits if they came out.

If the aftermarket industry doesn't come out with a turbo kit, find yourself a good speed shop; they will be able to put a turbo in the car and any other via " custom work". That is if they are good enought.:D
