Alright it's me again with the busted engine from the timing belt snapping, i'm buying a ZC block for $400 then just slapping it onto my tranny, BUT it's a standard transmission and my boy said how it's gonna be hard because of torquing the bolts and aligning the clutch and flyweel and all this bullshit. Can you guys help me out here?? I'm looking for a step-by-step walkthrough on swapping trannies from my old D16a6 to my new ZC, BamBam, can you help me out??

No problem at all. Just swap over your stock flywheel and clutch from the D16a6 to the ZC. Is it a Dohc or Sohc ZC?

it's a Dohc but i'm only buying the ZC block and bolting it to my d16 tranny, don't i have to align the flywheel to TDC too?

No, there's no such thing. Just bolt on your flywheel and clutch and torque it down.

A trip to your local parts store and picking up a manual for your car would help you out big time. its not as helpful as the Helms manual, which is somewhere online, I'm just too lazy to find it. but it will walk you through replacing your clutch/flywheel, proper torque specs and procedure.

yah bro, just pick up a civic/crx manual from autozone. It'll suffice for what you're trying to accomplish. Off the top of my head, I think the flywheel is 87 ft/lbs and the pressure plate to flywheel is 19 ft/lbs. Just like anything else that you torque down (like a wheel), you alternate the bolts in a criss cross pattern. That's how you torque anything down (the head, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, oil pump, water pump, oil pan, transmission, etc.) Then once you've done that, go back over them in a clockwise pattern and torque them to the same torque to make sure they're all equal.

The wiring will match up just fine. You may have one extra connector from your harness (tandem valve), but nothing to worry about. You will also have to extend the cps sensor wires on your si harness. On the OBD0 Dohc ZC, they are on the exhaust cam side. Just match up the colors. That's it for wiring.
