2000 Montana electrical problem.

I have a 2000 Montana, the power door locks, power windows interior lights and the chime function all stopped working and the fuses and circuit breakers seem to be good. Looking through the owners manual I discovered that at least 3 of these items are linked to the body control module. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
Any idea on the cost of a BCM assuming thats the problem?

Welcome to the forum!

You can probably get a price from rockauto.com - or try eBay. I got one there a few months ago for a decent price & it worked well. You can see pictures of it below.

Body Control Module Upgrade (http://www.my-chevy-venture.com/Upgrade-Body-Control-Module-BCM.html)

But I would NOT suspect the BCM itself - its more likely that there is a connection problem going to it. Did you check the fuse that powers the BCM (or the programming fuse)? Also check the wires going to it. It should be located behind & below the glove box.

Thanks for the response Greg.
Can you tell me the location of the two fuses you mentioned in your reply? I have checked every fuse in the main fuse panel as well as the ones under the hood over top of the battery. Are there more?

I believe they are fuse 36 (power) & 47 (programming). Check link below.

Fuses (http://www.my-chevy-venture.com/fuses.html)

But what I would suggest is actually "troubleshooting" the problem, like taking the BCM loose from its mount and making some measurements.

I don't have access to my schematics & documents right now (traveling), but I may be able to help more this weekend.

Just providing an update on my electrical problem.
I pulled out the BCM and found that there was corrosion inside due to a water leak. We cleaned up the corrosion as well as we could and the problem was resolved, at least for now anyway.
BTW we sealed the unit with silicone to prevent water from getting in again, but we still dont know the source of the leak.
Thanks for the help.
