Both front seats do not work in my 98 Continental. The drivers seat goes forward and backwards but not up and down. THe passenger seat at one time worked perfectly, then one day it did not work at all. Any ideas?
I checked the fuses and they are fine. Chilton or Haynes does not make a book for this car so troubleshooting is much more difficult.
Please offer any suggestions.
Thank you.

Most folks go through all kinds of BS tracing these seat motor problems, and eventually find it was bad contacts in the door controls. Not to say that's the only possiblity -- just a high % of the problems.

Where is the module in the door and on the seat? What does it say to check for? Power Im assuming, but one can never be sure.

Where are the modules located exactly? Does it say or what do they look like? Does it say to check for power or what does it say to check for?

the door module is in the door below the lock with 3 or 4 wireing harnesses connected to it and the seat module is the same but under the seat.
