2001 Z24 Keyless entry?

My buddy just picked up an 01 z24 and he isnt sure if it has keyless entry or not. Do all z24's have keyless entry or no? if so, anyone know how to program them?

My 01 Z24 has keyless entry stock not sure how to program them though

My 00 Z24 has it stock too.. but my remotes died.. so i have to get new ones and reprogram them.. They have them cheap on ebay.. but i dunno if they are worth getting..

I asked my dealership and they said $120CND for new remote + $80 to reprogram.. I laughed and walked away..

If anyone knows how to program these things i would love to know..

I bought a used remote off ebay for my GP and found out to program it myself. GM wanted to charge me $236 +tax for the remote alone, then another $45 to program it. I got a used one on ebay for $13.99 shipped :)

But yeah... my buddy got 2 remotes for his z24 off ebay too, just need to find out how to program them.

Huh? Did you figure it out or no? lol Also, Phife, you said that your remote died? Are you sure it wasn't something as simple as the remotes battery died?

Ya i tried new batteries.. nothin.. so i took it over to the GM place and buddy did a check with some tool he had there.. said it was dead and i needed a new one..

Does anyone know if the BCM died you would notice? like would certain things not work?

I found out how to program the remote for my Grand Prix. I wasnt talking about the z24. BUT, I asked my buddy thats a locksmith and he told me that the Z24 HAS to be hooked up to a computer to be programmed, so basically, there is no choice but to take it to the dealership. :(

Yea heres a previos thread link that says anything 2000-up as to be taken to the dealer.
