I have to give a 3 to 5 minute speech tomorrow and I don't have much time to memorize tonight. Hence the topic has to be something I am already familiar with. This should work. Can you guys point me to some cool websites on the subject?

Any particular angle you're taking on the speech? Is it supposed to be informative? persuasive? There's a lot of stuff you could talk about for 5 minutes regarding cars. Thats a VERY broad topic. You shold pick a specific angle like new technology/innovations (Lexus 8 spd auto tranny, Lexus auto parallel park, directional headlights). :2cents:

whats FFS stand for?
and accord, yeah the speech is informative. I was thinking I'd go general and then specific.

Oh, well in that case I came here because I thought you guys might have some good ideas I had not thought of. I've already started outlining it. Its not like I asked Toksin to write the speech for me.

The problem with giving a speech like this is (as said before) the topic is way too broad. You cant go into any detail on anything without going over your time limit, hell you cant even just name parts on a car without going over the time limit. You should pick a specific part of a car to talk about that the class can understand, for example tires, most people know a little bit about tires. You wouldnt want to give a speech about the drivetrain because no one in the room would have a clue what your talking about.

if you start talking about what goes into a car mechanically, you will bore everyone in the room.
even it is in an automotive related class, they will still fall asleep because it would be like telling a bunch of architects what is used to build a house.
to make it a good speach/talk, you have to find an interesting angle.
to this end, I have to ask who is your audience and what is you intended line of discussion?
