Has most of you know I have moved to Ft Hood Tx and I have some parts still sitting up at my rents house in PA. 1 part inperticular that I am trying to sell since it's taking up alot of room there is a 4th gen Hiro front Lip. The lip came with a blue gel coated fiberglass that twists and flex's. When I recieved it I started to spray it with white primer since my lude is white. I never got around to finishing it. About 5 months ago I listed it on ebay and sold it for over $300. I was happy since I almost got my money back. During shipping UPS put something heavy on the box and it cracked the bottom center of it. Not all the way thro. So I paid the buyer back for it and it's just sitting there at my house. The crack is about 2 inches long and about 1/16" wide. So has you can tell by the measurements it's very minimal. If you know how to work with fiberglass you could have it fixed in no time. If I sell this lip I won't be shipping it in the box. 2 reasons. 1, I do NOT want to risk having the shipping company crushing it again and 2, it will cost alot to ship since in the box the measurements will make it exceed the total measurements. it cost about $130 to ship when I sold it (from PA to Cali). So this time I will have my rents wrap bubble wrap around it and tape it up good. That way this insures the shipping company will be careful with it. I noted last time it was FG but they apparently still stacked stuff on top of it. This can be sent C.O.D. by FEDEX or UPS. I am sorry I do not have any personal pics of the lip and my rents are old school and don't have a digital camera yet. Below I have inserted some pics of the lip I found on the net.
If your wondering if this lip will in any way effect the instal or cover the JDM fog lights in anyway the answer is no. It's JDM fog friendly. I am just looking for a good offer. Thank you

1. FedEx will not do COD.
2. FedEx really doesn't care how it's packaged, and you NEED to put it in a box.. the sorting machines have teeth on them to grip packages and you don't wanna see what happens when things go in wrapped in bubble wrap and come out lookin like woodchips.
3. If you want FedEx to care, declare a value of $500 on it. THEN they will care.
4. It will not cost $130 to ship that thing unless it weighs 60lbs and you're overnighting it. Even before I worked at FedEx, I shipped plenty of stuff, and the most expensive thing I ever sent was when I sent an ENTIRE TRUNK LID for $72. A 10lb lip is gonna be right around $20 or maybe $30ish if you get it sent express.

Just wanted to clear that up.

thanks for telling me that FEDEX does not COD.
Has far has shipping cost. It did cost that much to ship via UPS when I sent it from PA to Cali. It was not the weight that was a issue, but the dimensions. IF the the total dimensions (L/W/H) are over a certain number then it gets charged a freight fee. So that's how UPS did it. Now I contacted them and asked them what would happen if I would ship it again thro them and they are the ones who told me to take it out of the box, bubble wrap it nice and tight, then that will assure it's handled with care and it will also cut the shipping cost tremendously b/c the total Dimensions will be ALOT less. Then it will nolonger be under the freight catagory.

Sorry SOl girl but fedex would not send that up a belt trough the sorter...If you really new anything about fedex they would send this LIP trough as a IC, a IC is a incompatible... When that thing comes off a truck it will be scanned as a IC and Put on what they call a TUGGER to haul it over to the load side destination it goes to.. THey also do this with Hazmats also..Cause if you sent a hazmat (flammable, liquids and all) over top and it bust thats some serious down time..

Then put on a belt then you have guys on each side a100 or a200 or b100-up to b200-up..Then you have IC pickers that picks those off the belt and scans them to the destination they go to...

Anything over 56 inches is a IC in the HUB im at..This thing would jam the shit out of a sorter if it went up top and the Facers would have to pull it off the sorter and all..

Unless you worked outside of a HUB like a smaller branch of fedex in a small town they may do what you say but i highly doubt it..

As for him needing it in a BOX he does not need it in a box...He can just bubble wrap it and sent it trough...That way if he does bubble wrap it and it will forsure not be sent up trough the top sorters and all..I say this cause there are some dumbasses that work fedex that really dont care what goes where.

I've seen rims come trough with just a peice of box taped to each side, Honda OEM rims does this alot with honda...we get exhaust come trough without being boxed at all...

Im not trying to start anythign just clearing things up, ive worked in one of fedex"s biggest HUB"s in u.s. for almost 2 years now, have seen it all and done it all...

Best way you can ship this thing is wrap it up very good with padding and then bubble wrap it, that way when it does go on the trucks they load it on top shelf of packages and it will not get broke or busted...

later

EDIT: also that should not of been a freight package to begin with, freight is anything over 150 pounds and extremly big...We get bubble wrapped body kits come trough and OEM car bumpers and truck bumpers...Most arnt even wrapped just shipped..

Im not saying id ship most stuff like this, this is just what ive seen come in...later

I worked at a little store.. but regardless, go through fedex and not ups.. they may cost a little more, but they have less bullshit rules. they won't charge you freight on a damn lip. As I said, before I even worked for them, I shipped a trunk lid and they didn't have a problem. Hell I'm about to ship a hood to PA and it's costing $55 to get it from PA to here (I still get my discount so it's costing me considerably less lol).
