Battery and Alternator

Just a question, i have a 2001 GASE 2.4L

my car has been stalling alot lately this week was ok didnt stall once, but my car feels like it looses power, it gets really cold where i live and the weather here and its very rough on vehicles, i have a sub system in my car and the GA's are already under powered and running a sub and amp and aftermarket stereo drains it even more. What im wondering is that maybe its time to get a new battery and a higher output alternator, when im stopped at a light my lights dim slightly not a big deal but my car feels like its gonna stall the rpms fluctuate with the music and my brakes and steering feel loose and weak, after a while when its all warmed up it works ok but it feels like everything is loose. SO basically if the alternator is worn out and/or the battery will it affect the performance of the car if the alternator cant keep up with the decharge.

Thanks

If the battery was dead and the alternator wasnt charging enough your car might run a bit rough but it should not effect performance.

You had a tune (plugs, boots) up latly?
Also some fuel injection cleanr ran through regularly helps keep the fuel system clean, so it can function at 100%.

The stock alter is only 105 amps. They sell them up to 140amps.
Since you liv in the arctic :) might consider a dry cell battery such as the yello, red tops.
they are expensive, but the dry cell is more stable at colder conditions and should last much longer.

Dimming lights are pretty commen.
Just last night I was behind an 06' Corvett, he was listening to "Jan & Dean" (:gay:) and every beat his tail lights would dimm. Thats not right!

i run fuel injector cleaner on a regular basis, yah i dunno my car hesitates a bit and it revs its self up when its about to stall, so im not quite sure what to think and its only started to happen since it got colder out here... what about the timeing chain i know around 80000km you should get it checked and i can here it clicking along with the lifters , but if i pay 600 for them to check it i might as well get it replaced...
What do you think...

maybe i should get new injectors...?

Thanks

I'd just do a plug/boot change and get your IAC and TB cleaned.
Then see how it runs

i think its the ignition coil, i just cleaned the TB a couple months ago, as far as the IAC there is nothing wrong with it, but whats stumps me is that my car does not throw any codes out... So im just going to change the ignition coil and see ... my car does not run rich or lean but it has no power half the time is hesitates alot which leads me to believe the engine is not running properly, so im going to change the plugs as well and ignition coils this week if i can get the coil pack in ASAP
