exhaust leak

Can someone tell me what kind of gasket, if there is one, that goes in the collector on the passenger side by the oil filter? I THINK there is an exhaust leak there, there is a little bit of ticking when its cold but goes away after warm, but nothing bad at all, but when I went to change the oil (my 1st time since i bought the truck used) it had a fram filter and where fram puts the black texture on it for easier removal was melted and bubbled like there was direct heat on it. is it typical for that much heat to be there or to close to manifold?

Check to see that the head pipe to manifold bolts are tight. There are no gaskets but with heat cycles, the bolts can have a tendency to not be tight enough. You might want to put some penetrating oil on them for a couple of hours before attempting to move them.

I recently replaced my 5.9 Magnum with 140k and when I took off the exhaust, the bolts were pretty loose. No leaks but loose all the same.
